The Settings tab is where you decide how Lonida looks, how you prove it is you when signing in, who is allowed to contact you, and how much the platform is allowed to email you. Nothing here affects your club or your money — it is entirely about your own experience.

Display

Appearance and language

How Lonida presents itself

  • ThemeOptional
Your preferred colour scheme. Applies across the whole platform on this account.
  • LanguageOptional
Display language. English is currently the only one available — French, Spanish, Portuguese, Yoruba and Hausa are listed but not yet selectable.

Why some languages are greyed out

The list shows where the platform is heading, not where it is. A language shown as unavailable simply has not been finished yet — selecting it is blocked rather than giving you a half-translated interface.

Sign-in

Login verification

This decides how you prove it is you when logging in. There are three options, but two of them have to be earned first:

The three methods

  • Email OTPOptional
A one-time code sent to your email. Always available — this is the default.
  • PINOptional
Your six-digit PIN. Only selectable once you have set a PIN in the Security tab.
  • 2FAOptional
A rotating code from your authenticator app. Only selectable once two-factor authentication is enabled.

If an option is unavailable

The interface tells you exactly why — "Set a PIN in the Security tab first", or "Enable 2FA in the Security tab first". Do that, come back, and the option becomes selectable. 2FA is the strongest of the three.

Privacy

Direct messages

Allow Direct Messages controls whether other managers can start a private conversation with you. Turning it off does not delete existing conversations — it stops new ones being opened. If you are getting unwanted contact, this is the switch.

Email

Email notifications

Each of these is an independent switch, so you can be told about money and matches while ignoring everything else.

What each email covers

  • Match RemindersOptional
An email before your next fixture.
  • Transfer AlertsOptional
When a bid of yours is accepted or rejected, or you are outbid.
  • Wallet TransactionsOptional
Credits and debits on your wallet.
  • Gift ReceivedOptional
When another manager sends you LONIDA.
  • Team ActivityOptional
New team members and role changes.
  • Weekly SummaryOptional
    Your club's stats, every Monday.
  • Tournament AnnouncementsOptional
    New tournaments and prize pools.
  • Transfer & Loan RequestsOptional
When another club wants one of your players.
  • Friendly RequestsOptional
When another club challenges you to a friendly.
  • Unread Chat RemindersOptional
If a chat goes unanswered while you are online, or stays unread about ten minutes after you were last seen.

Do not switch off the money ones

Wallet Transactions and Transfer & Loan Requests are the two worth keeping on whatever else you disable. The first is your early warning that funds moved; the second is another club waiting on an answer, and silence reads as a refusal.

In-app

In-app notifications and sounds

Inside the platform

  • Gift Received (In-App)Required
Always on and cannot be turned off — you will always be told when someone sends you LONIDA.
  • Post & Comment RepliesOptional
Someone comments on your post, or replies to your comment.
  • Live Match EventsOptional
Goals, red cards and match end as they happen.
  • Chat SoundOptional
Plays a sound when a chat message or like arrives.
  • Notification SoundOptional
Plays a sound for new notifications.

One notification you cannot silence

Receiving a gift always produces an in-app notification. It involves someone giving you real value, so the platform makes sure you know about it regardless of your other preferences.

FAQ

Common questions

Do settings changes save automatically?+
Yes. Each switch applies as you toggle it, so there is no separate save step on this tab.
I turned off Allow Direct Messages but still get messages.+
Existing conversations continue — the setting prevents new ones from being started. Older threads are unaffected by design, so an ongoing negotiation is not silently cut off.
Why can I not pick 2FA as my login method?+
Because 2FA is not enabled yet. Enable it in the Security tab first, then return here and it becomes selectable.
I am not receiving any emails at all.+
Check the email address on your Profile tab is correct and one you actually read, then check your spam folder, then confirm the specific switch here is on.
Will changing my theme affect other people?+
No. Every preference on this tab applies only to your own account and your own view.
