Jersey Design is where your club stops being a name and starts looking like a football club. Your kit is what players wear in rendered matches, so it is the most visible thing you own after your badge.
The kit locks during tournaments
This is the rule that surprises people: jersey design is locked while your club is active in a tournament. You cannot change colours, patterns or textures mid-competition. Clubs must look the same at the end of a tournament as they did at the start, so design your kit before you enter one.
What you can change
The design controls
- ColoursOptionalSet as hex codes. Invalid values are rejected, so use the picker or a proper
#rrggbbcode. - PatternOptionalChosen from the available jersey patterns. Anything not on that list is refused.
- Custom textureOptionalUpload your own artwork if the built-in patterns are not enough.
Until you save your own kit colours, the design falls back to your club's primary and secondary colours. That means setting your club colours properly on the Overview tab already gives you a coherent kit before you touch this tab at all.
Designing something that works
Things worth getting right
- Make your home and away kits genuinely different. Two similar kits look wrong when you face a club in comparable colours.
- Keep contrast high between shirt and shorts — kits are seen small and in motion.
- Match the kit to your club colours and badge. A club whose badge, banner and kit agree looks established.
- Finish the kit before entering a tournament, because you will not be able to touch it once you have.
